Strength for the day…

There are days that everyone feels a little tired, weary, and they can find no rest for their souls. Yet, we must continually move on and take care of life’s responsibilities. When those times manifest during my day, I have to rely on the word of God within my heart. So, for those of you who have experienced one of those moments—I’ll leave you with this word of encouragement:

Isaiah 40:31 NIV
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on the wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

May your day provide the rest you need. Blessings n’ Grace to you!

What does Superman have to do with me?

Nothing! Most days it seems like the time passes by so fast—that you’d have to Superman or Superwoman to keep up. The fact that my last name starts with an ‘S’ has absolutely no relevance whatsoever. I can plaster the biggest ‘S’ on my chest, and it wouldn’t change a thing. How do you keep up? You’d think with with all of the new, handy ‘tech’ gadgets that life would be easier. Not!

So, I’ll have to continue to pray to the Lord daily for strength…renewed strength. Until I can find some get-up-and-go—I’ll have to make due with what I have.

Toodles…

Hard Working Momma

Yesterday, I must've dripped motor oil as I worked. My engine was running a mile-a-minute! I'm so motivated to make my business work it ain't funny. I've been putting together (finally found the time), my business info, and I was plum tuckered when I went to bed. Let's just say that momma earned her money! LOL.

I've had so many ideas just running around in my head that I finally decided to take out my net and run after those dreams. Normally, I'm always encouraging other women to pursue their passions; however, when it was up to me, I'd 'chicken out' from fear! Fear is such an Ug-ly word. Lately, I've been asking myself "Can I really do it?" Then, I would let fear take hold and run it's course. Not any more!!! If I don't believe in me, who will?

Get ready to watch me S-O-A-R! Stay tuned!

Moving right along…

Okay, so like I am going to give the blogging adventure another try. I’ve been M.I.A. for quite a while ((blinking the eyes & showing the sad face)) I’ve been contemplating on way to divide my time with all the many projects (or ideas) floating around in my head, and staying organized here on the home-front. So, net in hand, I am on my way to a the blogosphere.

I think many people steer their blogs toward a specific purpose. I’m still unclear on where I really want to go with this. I do have a desired destination. I just don’t want to be ‘stuck’ in one place-y’know? While this is still a ‘work-in-progress’ that I’d love to see flourish…I’ll just go with the flow for now.

With all my excitement about this blogging venture—I’ve also gained a new fascination with vlogging. Recently, I saw a tweet on @momtv on twitter about a great new site that’s for moms called momtv.com-They were looking for new mom’s to join this fantastic community. I responded to her (Ms. Stephanie’s) tweet—to be entered into a drawing. I did not win at the time; however, I inquired as to who the winner was, and the fab Ms. Stephanie sent me one of the cutest Creative Labs Vado Pocket Video Camcorder (Pink), too! Now, how cool is that? It is so adorable! Now, I can definitely blog and vlog as well! Kudos to the folks over at momtv.com! Here’s a picture of my darling NEW video camcorder. To my new friends at momtv.com—thank you very much. See you soon!

I am too, too excited about all that’s to come! Be sure to stop by and check out our new network (we are a work-in-progress), The Pom-Pom Mom's. Plus, you can follow my updates on twitter as well.

We’d love to have you! Toodles…Thashoelady

Being the 'me' I aspire to be...

I'm sure that many people today have probably envisioned in their heads the person they've always aspired to be. I know for me, I'm never fully satisfied with my current 'state-of-me.' Although I feel like I'm a pretty good 'me'; I'm certain that the very best 'me' is still yet to be revealed. Each blessed day I awake, I look forward to learning something new, and I make every effort to instill the same values in my children. It's my hope that I will say something that will provide a helpful example, a lasting impression, or a word that will help them to see that life should be enjoyed to the fullest. A whole world at their fingertips.

When they were small, I'd encourage them to be loving to others, to be not just hearers--but doers, as well as givers. I'd tell them that everyone deserves a measure of respect, and that kindness should come as naturally as second-nature. Hopefully, supplying them with all the tools they need to be good, wholesome, and decent individuals. As I aspire to be a better me, I pray that my children will also recognize that striving to be better is a life-long process that will never be easily conquered in this life. It takes discipline, self-denial, the ability to focus, with determination and God.

Being the woman I aspire to be is a work in progress...

see you on the other side...

My future 'me.'

Inspired to Worship

The other day my husband sent me an inspirational and encouraging word. It was really something to think about. It's quoted below:

"If worship does not change us, it has not been worship. To stand before the Holy One of eternity is to change. Worship begins in holy expectancy; it ends in holy obedience.

Richard J. Foster

What do you think?  What do you take from it?
